Dressing Your Age…?

At some point in our lives, we start wondering if we ought to start dressing our age.

"Just Friends?"

The other day I was having lunch with a friend, and she began to pour out an all-too-familiar story. The guy she had been hanging out with four nights a week, the one who had made her a jazz mix CD and asked her to be his date to his office Christmas party, the one who had gone to late-night movies with her and made her pasta — that guy — had crushed her hopes (again) with a single, nonchalant statement: "I don't see myself in a relationship anytime soon."

Solutions for Mr Undateable-3

I remember a date with this guy. Since I’m now married, all these are pure reminiscences, and without mentioning, they happened years ago. Back to this guy I had a date with. Usually, I wouldn’t have to feign a headache to go home earlier. But that time, I did. And the best thing was – I didn’t feel guilty about it.

Solutions for Mr Undateable-2

“No girl will like a guy like me,” he sighed, shifting his legs uneasily as he stood before me.

Solutions for Mr Undateable-1

Mr. Undateable - Oh, this is such a mean way of referring to someone, you may think. But look at it this way: every cloud has a silver lining. The hope is, if we remove the “un”, he becomes Mr. Dateable! And this is what I’m going to do in this four-part series – providing suggestions to transform a guy whom a lady may not think twice to reject, to a guy whom she will not bat an eyelid to say ‘Yes!’ to. Vice versa, I’ve also prepared a series for Miss Undateable. Hey, that’s how we get a lovely match, isn’t it?

Solutions for Miss Undateable-3

Turning heads wherever you go is part of a daily routine, and while it is an uphill task for most women, you do it almost effortlessly. Men will probably buy you the most expensive thing you set your eyes upon, if you would smile at them. In short, you are born with looks that are to-die-for.

Solutions for Miss Undateable-2

“There’re no ugly women in the world, only lazy ones.”

Solutions for Miss Undateable-1

“What are the types of men you would avoid dating? I asked a female friend that day. She narrowed her eyes, as if she didn’t quite understand me. So I repeated my question.

Make Love Happen

One of the reasons people hesitate to join dating activities is that they want an encounter with that special someone. They hope for that unexpected meeting – in the lift, at the bookstore, on the MRT, at a friend’s home, at a café, so on and so forth.

Is this the One?

You’re at a friend’s gathering, you have just met a really nice girl/guy and the whole night, the conversation will revolve around the question: “So how do I know if he/she is The One?”

Are You Who You Want To Date?

You see, I used to run a dating agency for two years, and I was one of the consultants responsible for finding matches for our members. As it turned out, this wasn’t one of the cheeriest things to do, with all the members’ expectations heaped on us. But, when we got good dates for them? The happiness was indescribable! It was like we were in paradise, maybe better.
