About Spark Connections

  1. What is Spark Connections?

    Spark Connections is a year-long campaign which offers eligible individuals fun events and activities to add excitement in their lives, and pursue their hobbies and interests!

    Eligible individuals can REGISTER HERE as SDN Website members to receive $100 worth of free Spark Connections credits. These credits can be used to offset up to 50% of the featured events, workshops and services cost during Spark Connections.

Registering as a SDN Website Member

  1. I am not sure if I qualify as an eligible individual for Spark Connections. What are the criteria?

    Individuals need to fulfil the following criteria in order to obtain Spark Connections credits:

    - Legally single (never married before, divorced or widowed) Singaporeans/PRs

    - At least 20 years old

    - Is a SDN website member (free to register at the SDN Website)

  2. How do I register to be a SDN website member?

    You can sign up at the SDN Website with your SingPass.

    Do note that it will take up to 5-7 working days for the approval of your account. Do sign up early for an account before registering for the events!

  3. I am currently a SDN website member. How do I receive the credits?

    For new members, you will receive the $100 electronic credits in your member account within 5 working days.

    For existing members, the $100 electronic credits will automatically be credited to your SDN account on a yearly basis (resets every year on 1st January).

  4. How do I check the credits?

    You can login to your account at SDN Website using your SingPass account. Once you have logged in, please click on the “Credit Transaction History” tab.

  5. What should I do if I experience difficulties in creating an account?

    Please write in to MSF_SDN@msf.gov.sg and provide screenshots of the issues encountered.

    The screenshots will help our technical team to identify the issue and troubleshoot.

Registering for Spark Connections Events

  1. How do I register for a Spark Connections’ event?

    Click on the event to register. You will be directed to the organiser’s page with more details about the event.

    To continue your registration, follow the registration and payment instructions.

    *Remember to inform the organizer that you intend to use your credits and they will help you to deduct your credits.

  2. Are the events only open to Singaporeans?

    Single Singaporeans and Permanent Residents can participate in the Spark Connections offerings.

    If you are interested, do check with the organisers directly and register early to secure a slot!

  3. Is there a limit to the number of events and services I can attend with the $100 Spark Connections credits?

    While there is no limit to the number of events and services you can attend using the Spark Connections credits, do note that once the $100 Spark Connections credits are fully utilised, you would not be able to obtain additional credits, until 1st January of the following year.

  4. How can I cancel my registration for a Spark Connections’ event and get a refund for my credits?

    For cancellation of event registration, please inform the organiser and obtain a confirmation of your cancellation of registration from them.

    After cancellation, the credits deducted for the event will be automatically refunded to your account.

    You may login to your account at SDN Website to confirm receipt of refund via the “Credit Transaction History” tab.

Credits Management

  1. Do the Spark Connections credits have an expiry date?

    The $100 Spark Connections credits are given to eligible singles on a yearly basis.

    On 31st December of every year, any remaining credits will be nullified. On 1st January, your account will be reset to $100 Spark Connections credits, as long as you remain eligible to receive them (i.e. single marital status).

  2. How do I use my credits?

    You will need to inform the organiser during registration that you intend to use your credits and they will help you deduct the credits.

  3. When I have finished using my $100 credits, am I allowed to register using my friend, family, or any other third party’s account to attend more events and services?

    No, each eligible single is only entitled to $100 Spark Connections credits yearly.

    Singles would not be able to use other singles’ credits for their own usage and are not allowed to offer their credits to other singles.

    In the event that you have utilised all of your credits and wish to attend Spark Connections events, you may still sign up and pay the full event cost. Do note that there will be no reimbursement in this case.

  4. What should I do if I experience difficulties in managing my credits?
